01 Overview

Center City is the densest moving job in the Delaware Valley, and it lives or dies on logistics planned days ahead. Anthony Russo built Pro Tri State around exactly this kind of work, and our crews move into and out of the high-rise condos around Rittenhouse Square, Logan Square, Washington Square West, and the towers off Market Street every week. None of it gets done without a freight elevator booked, a dock window held, and a COI already signed off by the building.

Moving in this part of the tri-state? tri-state movers is on these streets just about every week.

Gina handles the paperwork side from our office. She files the certificate of insurance, names your management company, and reserves the elevator before move day, so the load never stalls in the lobby. On the street, parking is the other half of the puzzle. We pull occupancy permits where the city requires them and stage on the widest legal curb when a tower has no dock, then run a fast shuttle so we’re not sitting in a Walnut Street travel lane at five o’clock.

We run our own trucks and our own uniformed crew, licensed across PA, NJ, and DE. The same movers who pad your elevator and wrap your furniture are the ones who set it down in the new place. You get one written flat rate for the whole job, and the $125 deposit holds the date and the elevator slot. No mileage surprises, no day-labor strangers.

We move Center City

Week after week our crews work Center City, so the parking permits, the building access, and the tight streets are second nature long before the truck arrives. Every quote is flat-rate and on paper, with nothing slipped into the fine print.

02 Why us

The name on the contract is the name on the truck

When you book Pro Tri State, it is our paperwork you sign, our rig that parks on your block, and our own movers carrying the load — nobody hands your job off. A broker does the opposite: auctions it to the cheapest bidder of the week, then disappears.

Pro Tri State Movers
  • Full-time, background-checked movers on our own trucks — never a day-labor pickup
  • Your flat rate goes on paper and stays there — the signed figure is the settled figure, to the dollar
  • Load-out and unload are the same crew, beginning to end
  • Licensed in PA, NJ & DE plus USDOT/MC for interstate, and fully insured
  • One Philadelphia office and one contact, from the first call to the last box
What a broker does
  • Sells your move to whichever carrier underbids the rest this week
  • Lets the price climb on move day with fees nobody mentioned up front
  • Sends people you have never met to carry everything you own
  • Leaves it murky whose insurance is actually on the hook
  • Stands a phone bank between you and whoever finally shows up to lift

★★★★★

“The team was absolutely FANTASTIC!! Especially Sean and Vince on the 2nd day. They made it fun, we had a lot of laughs that day. They were very professional and took the time to ask where we wanted everything. They also cleaned up behind themselves. They went above and beyond. Thank you Pro Tri State Movers, we will call you again.”

04 Good to know

What Center City movers ask us

My building near Rittenhouse requires a certificate of insurance before move day. Can you provide one?
Absolutely — that is everyday work for our crews here. Gina in our office handles the COI directly with your property manager, lists the building and management company as additional insured, and gets it approved before the truck rolls. Most Center City towers also want a freight-elevator reservation and a loading-dock window, so we lock those down at the same time.
There's nowhere to park a moving truck on Walnut or Chestnut. How does that work?
It's the first thing we plan. We pull a street-occupancy permit from the city where one is needed and reserve the building's dock when there is one. Where neither exists, Sean stages the truck on the widest legal spot and the crew runs a tight shuttle so we never block a travel lane during rush hour.
Do you do small studio and one-bedroom condo moves in Center City, or only big jobs?
Plenty of our Center City work is studios and one-bedrooms in high-rises. Those start at our flat rate, and the deposit holds your elevator slot. A two-mover crew handles most condo loads; we'll send three when the freight-elevator window is tight and speed matters.
